Multiple storm chances Friday into the weekend with some possibly severe

Later this week and into the upcoming weekend, an active weather pattern is set to unfold, bringing with it multiple rounds of severe weather.

Throughout this period, all forms of severe weather are possible, including large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes.

Rainfall amounts are expected to range from one to three inches, contributing to the risk of localized flooding due to saturated ground from recent rainfall.

While no single day will see continuous rain, it’s important to stay vigilant and weather-aware over the next few days.

On Thursday, thunderstorms will initiate across West Texas along the dryline, moving into parts of North Texas by late Thursday night into early Friday, potentially impacting the morning commute. Additional storms are anticipated Friday afternoon and evening, especially to the east of Interstate 35.

Saturday afternoon and evening will bring another opportunity for storms as a cold front advances into the region, potentially resulting in more severe weather.

The cold front is expected to stall near the area on Sunday, leading to another round of storms primarily to the east of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

Each round of storms has the potential to influence subsequent weather patterns, emphasizing the need to remain vigilant and monitor updates throughout the weekend.
