Early voting in Harris County May 4 Uniform Election ends on Tuesday

While many voters may have November 5 marked on their calendars, it’s important not to overlook the Uniform Election scheduled for May 4 in Harris County.

Early voting for this election concludes on Tuesday.

During this election, voters will have the opportunity to select three new members for the Harris County Appraisal District board, as well as a replacement for John Whitmire’s seat in the Texas Senate.

Sample ballots are accessible online for voters to review.

Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth emphasized the significance of this election, stating, “Local elections bring the government to your doorstep. You can directly engage with and influence your elected local officials.”

Early voting for the May 4 election began on Monday, with voters now having the chance to elect three members to the Harris County Appraisal District board for the first time.

Twenty-five early voting sites, opening at 7 a.m., are available for voters to cast their ballots.

It’s worth noting that voters in Harris County are not required to visit polling places within their assigned precincts. They have the flexibility to vote at any location as long as they are in line before 7 p.m. on Election Day, with a total of 151 vote centers to choose from.

Following this election, the primary runoff is scheduled for May 28, anticipated to be the final election before the presidential election in November.
