3 people, 2 dogs rescued after small plane crash at Hooks Airport, officials say

Emergency crews responded to a minor plane crash at Hooks Airport in northwest Harris County on Tuesday morning, where three individuals were rescued. According to the Klein Fire Department, one passenger managed to self-rescue, while efforts were underway to rescue the two others on board, all of whom were reported safe eventually. Additionally, two dogs named Maisey and Cindy were also rescued from the scene.

The Klein FD reported that the aircraft, carrying a crew en route to a meeting, was taxiing for takeoff when it unexpectedly veered into the water. The reason for this deviation remains unclear. Officials temporarily closed Taxiway Mike as they worked to clear the incident. Aerial footage from SkyEye showed the aircraft submerged in water.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, and officials assured that the situation was never life-threatening. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
