Donald Trump returning to Dallas for campaign fundraiser

Following his appearance at the National Rifle Association convention at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, former President Donald Trump is returning to Dallas for a campaign fundraiser on Wednesday.

The proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Trump’s presidential campaign, the Republican National Committee, and 41 state GOP parties, excluding the Texas party, as reported by seven individuals familiar with the event.

The fundraiser will feature 16 hosts, including Dallas businessman Ray Washburne and his wife, Heather. Washburne previously served as president and CEO of the Overseas Private Investment Corp. under Trump from 2017 to 2019 and was a member of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board during Trump’s tenure.

According to an invitation obtained by The Dallas Morning News, couples identified as “Trump 47” are encouraged to contribute up to $844,600. Co-chairs are expected to donate $250,000 per person, while attendees can gain entry for $100,000.
