Man shot in the head near Williamstown apartments in southwest Houston dies in hospital

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Police are looking for the person responsible for fatally shooting a man in the head outside Williamstown Apartments located at 9200 Bissonnet St. in southwest Houston.

Around 2:30 Saturday morning, officers found a 29-year-old man on the ground outside of the apartments.

The man underwent surgery at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he later died.

Witnesses told police they heard 2 gunshots.

Detectives said they’re checking surveillance cameras to see if they can identify the shooter and to see if the incident may have been captured on camera. They were able to find a shell casing from a pistol at the scene.
“We have his cell phone and know a little about his past,” said Sgt. Matthew Brady. “It could be narcotics and/or gang related based on some tattoos we’ve seen. Otherwise, we don’t have a motive.”
