1 shot in east Oak Cliff, Dallas police say

A person was shot Monday evening in east Oak Cliff, Dallas police said.

Officers were called just after 6 p.m. to the 400 block of South R.L. Thornton Freeway, near East Eighth Street.

The male victim was shot by a “known suspect,” police said. The shooter fled the scene, and the victim was taken to a hospital.
