Man dies after arriving at Arlington convenience store with stab wounds

A man died after he showed up at an Arlington convenience store early Tuesday with stab wounds, police said.

Officers were called shortly after 1 a.m. to a convenience store in the 3300 block of East Division Street, near Great Southwest Parkway, where an employee had reported that a bleeding man had come into the store. Witnesses told police the man arrived in a vehicle.

The man, who collapsed before police arrived, was taken to Medical City Arlington Hospital, where he died several hours later. The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified him as 59-year-old Roberto Lopez of Arlington.

Police said it appeared Lopez had been stabbed multiple times, but they did not know where the attack took place.
