5 people wounded in shooting at Far East Dallas gas station, police say

Five people were wounded in a shooting at a Far East Dallas gas station Friday night, police say.

A police incident log shows officers were dispatched about 9:10 p.m. to a 7-Eleven at John West Road and La Prada Drive, on the city’s border with Mesquite.

According to police, the preliminary investigation determined someone shot at multiple people from a vehicle before fleeing.

Four teenagers and one adult were taken to hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

No additional information about what led to the shooting or possible suspects was immediately available.
