13-year-old hospitalized with ‘serious injuries’ after hit-and-run, Dallas police say

Authorities are asking the public’s help to identify the motorist and suspect vehicle accused of being involved in a hit-and-run crash Monday that left a teen in the hospital, Dallas police said.

Shortly after 3:30 p.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to the 5100 block of Clover Haven Street, located in the Buckner Terrace neighborhood, where someone reported a hit-and-run crash, according to police.

Investigators believe someone was driving out of an alleyway in the area when they hit a 13-year-old boy who was in a go-kart-style vehicle, police said in a Tuesday news release. Police also released an image of the suspect vehicle.
