Man drove off with woman’s 8-year-old daughter, Fort Worth police say

A man kidnapped an 8-year-old girl Saturday evening as the child walked with her mom in Fort Worth, police said. The child’s mother called police just after 6:30 p.m., officials said. Man connected to kidnapping, death of Shavon Randle gets 18 years in federal prison

DALLAS — A 28-year-old man connected to the death of kidnapped Shavon Randle has been sentenced to 18 years in federal prison. Darius Fields was convicted last year on three federal weapons charges, including convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He was sentenced Friday.
