Dallas police investigating fatal shootings of stray dog, cat

Dallas police are investigating a pair of animal-cruelty cases that occurred earlier this month.

On Dec. 1, police said, someone shot and killed a dog near the 800 block of North Morocco Avenue, near West Davis Street in the Arcadia Park neighborhood of west Oak Cliff.

Four days later, someone fatally shot a cat near 5800 Bernal Drive, near Loop 12 in the Ledbetter neighborhood of West Dallas, according to police.

The two incidents are not believed to be related, police said.
