After a pleasant Sunday in the 70s, temperatures are set to plunge in Dallas-Fort Worth.
A cold front is expected to move through the area late Sunday into early Monday, according to KXAS-TV (NBC5) weather anchor Keisha Burns.
Just before 4 p.m. Sunday, the front already had dropped temperatures into the 40s in parts of North Texas, such as Graham, while areas farther south were still in the 80s.
In Dallas-Fort Worth, that front is expected to reduce temperatures from the lower 70s on Sunday afternoon to the mid-40s by early Monday, according to Burns. The front also could bring a chance of rain to North Texas, especially in areas east of Dallas-Fort Worth, Burns said.

“We could see some areas of drizzle Monday morning — won’t last all day though,” Burns said.
North Texans will feel the chill for a few days. Lows Tuesday and Wednesday mornings could dip below freezing, according to the National Weather Service.
Some good news in the forecast is that after Monday, there’s no chance of rain for several days as temperatures get closer to normal by the end of the week.
