Woman found shot to death in northwest Houston motel room

Police are looking for a “person of interest” Monday after officers discovered a woman’s body inside a northwest Houston motel room.

The woman, identified only as a black female in her 30s, had been “shot multiple times,” Sgt. Joshua Horn said

Detectives made the gruesome discovery at the 5900 block of Guhn Road early Monday, following a tip from a citizen who “flagged down” a police officer conducting routine patrols in the area, Horn said.

The citizen told the police officer that he “received info on a dead female that been shot multiple times in a motel room,” Horn said.

The officer spoke to management and conducted a welfare check, knocking on the motel room several times. When no one answered, officers went inside and found the woman’s body, Horn said.

Paramedics arrived, but she was declared dead at the scene, Horn said.
