1 wounded in attempted robbery in Rylie area of Dallas, police say

A shooting victim drove himself to the hospital Sunday evening after he was wounded during an attempted robbery, Dallas police say.

Officers were called about 7:30 p.m. to the 1200 block of Leafwood Drive, in the Rylie area in far southeast Dallas. The victim, who was shot in the leg, had driven himself to Parkland Memorial Hospital, about 20 miles away.

The victim is in stable condition, police said Monday morning.

No further details were provided, including information about any suspects.
