Drive-by shooting victim found wounded after crash, Dallas police say

A drive-by shooting victim was found wounded late Monday in a car full of bullet holes, Dallas police said.

The crash was reported around 10:50 p.m. on Interstate 635 at the Royal Lane/Miller Road exit, near the border of Lake Highlands and far northeast Dallas.

A crew from Dallas Fire-Rescue found the vehicle crashed on an embankment next to the roadway and a victim who had been shot repeatedly, police said. The driver said someone had fired into the car from a passing vehicle.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in unknown condition.
