1 dead after crashing into 18-wheeler in Haltom City, police say

A 31-year-old woman died after she struck the back of an 18-wheeler on a Haltom City service road early Monday, police said.

Police responded to the intersection of eastbound NE Loop 820 and N. Beach Street in Haltom City at around 12:40 a.m. Monday, police said.

The woman, whose identity has not been released, was traveling eastbound on the service road at a high speed when she struck the back of an 18-wheeler and flipped, police said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The condition of the truck driver is unknown.
