2-, 3-year-old girls found safe in car reported stolen in west Oak Cliff, Dallas police say

A 2- and 3-year-old girl were found safe Friday morning in the back of a stolen car after Dallas police reported them missing Thursday.

Arianna and Aaliyah Gutierrez were reported safe around 4:45 a.m., police said. The two had been in the back seat of a 2008 Hyundai Sonata that was reported stolen around 8:40 p.m. Thursday in the 3300 block of Fort Worth Avenue in west Oak Cliff, police said.

Few other details were available, including where the children were found. Police released surveillance images of two men they described as persons of interest about 45 minutes before the girls were recovered.

Police haven’t said if the two men are suspects or if they have been taken into custody.
