More sunshine and warmth to end May

Sunshine and seasonal temperatures are expected once again today across North Texas. There will be a slight chance for a few showers and thunderstorms across Central Texas, but North Texas should remain dry with low humidity and highs in the upper 80s.

A weak area of low pressure will drift northward from Mexico into southwest Texas by Monday. It will produce widespread showers in South Texas and parts of Central Texas. A few spotty showers may be possible in parts of North Texas Monday and Tuesday, but these will generally remain south of DFW. Severe weather is not expected.

After that, the warming trend continues, with highs climbing back into the 90s. It will also be a bit more humid so you will feel the heat more by the end of the week.
