Hot with a few downpours

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Temps will climb to around 90 degrees tomorrow with a few showers and storms possible. Rain chances will be highest for areas southwest of Houston. The forecast won’t be changing too dramatically over the next few days, warm afternoons and lower-end rain chances.

With this weak upper low hanging nearby most of next week, a downpour could pop up any afternoon as temperatures climb into the low 90s.

Hurricane season begins Monday, and we’ll be watching Tropical Depression 2E in the coming days. This disturbance is expected to move north into the Gulf of Mexico’s Bay of Campeche. This area of low pressure will need to be monitored next week, but there is no immediate threat to the Texas Gulf Coast.
