A 22-year-old man was jailed on a murder charge early Monday in connection with the Sunday fatal shooting of a man in Lake Highlands, Dallas police said.
Officers were called about 7 p.m. Sunday to the 12600 block of Jupiter Road, south of Interstate 635, where Dallas Fire-Rescue officials were treating a 19-year-old man who had been shot multiple times.
The victim, identified by police as Jaymauze Spencer, was taken to a hospital, where he died.
At the scene of the shooting, police interviewed several witnesses and arrested 22-year-old Jamaal McCullough Jr.
McCullough was taken to police headquarters, where he admitted to “his role in the death of the victim,” police said.
Online records show McCullough was booked into the Dallas County jail about 1:30 a.m. Monday. No bail amount was listed for him.
