Warm weekend with near-record level temperatures possible

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Now that Delta is done with southeast Texas, the sunshine and heat returns for the weekend.

After morning lows in the 60s, highs will spike to nearly 90. It will get even hotter Sunday challenging the record of 94 set in 1962. A weak front will graze us late Monday into Tuesday, but we no longer believe it will cool us off any. The next fall front should arrive Friday next week, hopefully bringing us cooler temperatures than what we’ll endure this weekend.
