Wife fatally shot, 10-year-old grazed with bullet at Spring home, HCSO says

SPRING, Texas (KTRK) — A man has been arrested after he called 911 saying that he had shot and killed his wife inside of their Spring home, according to deputies.

Sergeant Jason Brown with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the man asked for police to come to the 19500 block of Lockridge Drive because he had just shot his wife.

When deputies arrived, they found a woman dead with one or more bullet wounds, and a 10-year-old barricaded inside of a bedroom with a bullet graze wound.

Family members said the couple had a series of on-going issues.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the man has since been arrested and is expected to face murder charges.

The child was released to a family member.
