The wet weather ends overnight

It is a cold, wet end to 2020. The rain will end later tonight as the storm system responsible for the inclement weather moves away. West of the DFW area is where the best chance of snow will remain tonight, although a brief mixing of some snow with the rain is not out of the question in parts of DFW before it all ends.

New Year’s Day will be cloudy and dry with a cold wind. Temperatures will struggle to get into the low 40s for highs. A northwest wind of 10-20 mph will make it feel like the 30s.

The weekend will bring increasing sunshine and a moderation in temperatures back into the 50s.
