Man in custody after fatal Monday night shooting in Old East Dallas

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting Monday night in Old East Dallas, police say.

Officers were called about 8:30 p.m. to a home in the 4900 block of Terry Street, near Fitzhugh Avenue and Interstate 30, where they found the victim lying on the ground.

He had multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified in an arrest-warrant affidavit as 52-year-old James Martin.

Police said Tuesday morning that Olantunde Adepegda was booked into the Dallas County jail and charged with murder. His bail was set at $500,000 and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.
