Police investigating after body found near Irving golf course

Police are investigating after a body was found Saturday near the Irving Golf Club, formerly known as the Twin Wells golf course.

Two people canoeing in the area notified police around noon that they saw a body in a tree and brush area near the course, said Robert Reeves, a spokesman for the Irving Police Department.

The Dallas Police Department used a helicopter to help Irving police locate the body of an adult man, who has not been identified, Reeves said.

No other information about the incident was made available.

The investigation is still in its early stages, Reeves said.
