Man faces capital murder charge in double slaying at South Dallas warehouse

A man is behind bars in connection with a double slaying at a South Dallas warehouse last month.

Gustavo Adolfo Gonzalez, 38, was arrested Tuesday by a U.S. Marshals task force, Dallas police said. He faces a capital murder charge in the deaths of Jose Dominguez and Kevin Smith.

Officers were called early Feb. 14 to the 4900 block of Racell Street, near Elsie Faye Heggins Street, and found Dominguez, 24, and Smith, 52, fatally shot inside a warehouse.

Police did not say how they connected Gonzalez to the shooting.

He was being held in the Dallas County jail Wednesday night with bail set at $1 million. It was unclear whether he had an attorney.
