Stormy weather tonight

Two rounds of showers and storms will impact North Texas this evening through Thursday morning. The first round will arrive this evening. Additional storms are likely to move through the area overnight.

North Texas has been placed under a slight and enhanced risk for severe storms. Storms will be capable of producing large hail and damaging winds. There is also a threat for a tornado or two.

Thunderstorms end Thursday morning with a few lingering showers early in the day. Sunshine will return for the afternoon.

Dry and mild weather is expected Friday through the weekend, although parts of East Texas could see some showers Saturday. Highs will be near 80 Friday and Saturday. Sunday will be a bit cooler with highs in the low 70s.
