Suspect arrested in man’s fatal shooting at home in Rylie area of Dallas

A suspect is in custody three months after a fatal shooting in the Rylie area of southeastern Dallas.

Floyd Lee Gatson III, 25, was arrested on a murder charge Wednesday in connection with the slaying of Anthony Williams.

Officers were called the afternoon of Dec. 23 to a home in the 14300 block of Skyfrost Drive, where they found Williams, 27, on the porch. He had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the home.

A witness told police that the two men had been in an argument and that Gatson told Williams to meet him outside, an arrest-warrant affidavit says. She then heard gunshots.

The witness said Gatson came back inside the home and demanded her car keys before fleeing, according to the affidavit.

Gatson, who also is being held on multiple probation violations, remained in jail Thursday. His total bail was set at $503,000, and his attorney could not immediately be reached for comment.
