29-year-old man found fatally shot inside northeast Dallas apartment, police say

Police are asking the public for help after a man was found fatally shot inside a northeast Dallas apartment.

Officers responded to a call about a possible dead person at about 4 p.m. Sunday at the East Town Apartments in the 6400 block of Melody Lane.

They found Dangelo Roane, 29, inside an apartment with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced him dead at the scene.

Neighbors told police that they heard possible gunfire about 11 p.m. Saturday.
