Missing Mesquite man is found safe, police say

 Mesquite police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing elderly man they say may be confused about his surroundings.

Vernon Bargainer, 89, was last seen Wednesday at his home in the 2500 block of Karla Drive, near North Galloway Avenue. Police believe he was driving a silver 1997 Cadillac DeVille with a maroon top and Texas disabled license plate 6GBHH.

Bargainer is described as a white man who is 5-8 and about 150 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.
