Unsettled weather expected through part of the holiday weekend

Friday begins dry for most, but a weak cold front will move slowly southward through North Texas as the morning progresses. This front will bring scattered to numerous showers and storms as well as a drop in temperatures, but the humidity will remain moderately high. Highs will remain from the upper 80s to lower 90s.

Severe weather is not expected, but lightning, brief heavy rain and gusty winds will be possible with any storms that develop on Friday. As the front moves out of North Texas into Central Texas, the highest rain chances will go with it.

Saturday will still have the potential for a few storms, but the chance will diminish to just isolated storms on Sunday. Neither day will be a wash out. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s to around 90, which is below normal for early July.
