A cold front arrives Friday

A rare July cold front is going to move through North Texas early on Friday. This front will bring a scattering of showers and storms as well as a drop in temperatures, but the humidity will remain moderately high.

The best chance of showers and storms will be Friday. As the front moves out of North Texas into Central Texas, the highest rain chances will go with it.

Saturday will still have the potential for a few storms, but the chance will diminish to just isolated storms on Sunday. Neither day will be a wash out. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s to around 90, which is below normal for early July.

Stay weather aware this Fourth of July weekend to the possibility of fast developing storms capable of lightning and heavy rain.
