346 coronavirus cases added across Texas, with many counties not reporting numbers for the holiday

With many counties across Texas not reporting coronavirus data Monday because of the holiday, the state added 346 more cases — including 336 new cases and 10 older ones that were recently reported by labs.

The state did not report any COVID-19 deaths, leaving its toll at 51,349.

Of the new cases, 291 were confirmed and 45 were probable. Of the older cases, seven were confirmed and three were probable.

The state’s case total is now 2,994,817, including 2,550,615 confirmed and 444,202 probable.

According to the state, 13,983,237 people in Texas have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, while 12,046,654 — 50.1% of the state’s population 12 and older — are fully vaccinated.

Dallas County

Dallas County did not report new coronavirus data Monday because of the holiday. The county will resume reporting data Tuesday.

The county’s overall case total is 306,864, including 263,271 confirmed and 43,593 probable. The death toll is 4,135.

The average number of new daily cases in the county for the last two weeks is 97. For the previous 14-day period, the average was 104.

According to the state, 1,271,280 people in Dallas County have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, while 1,085,351 — 49.8% of the county’s population 12 and older — are fully vaccinated.

Tarrant County

Tarrant County did not report new coronavirus data Monday because of the holiday. The county will resume reporting data Tuesday.

The county’s overall case total is 263,690, including 220,206 confirmed and 43,484 probable. The death toll is 3,577.

According to the state, 947,531 people in Tarrant County have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, while 838,105 — 48.2% of the county’s population 12 and older — are fully vaccinated.

Collin County

The state added 24 cases to Collin County’s totals Monday. No additional deaths were reported.

Of the new cases, one was confirmed and 23 were probable. The numbers bring the county’s case total to 93,173, including 76,136 confirmed and 17,037 probable. The death toll is 850.

According to the state, 583,522 people in Collin County have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, while 516,891 — 59.7% of the county’s population 12 and older — are fully vaccinated.

Denton County

Denton County did not report new coronavirus data Monday because of the holiday. The county will resume reporting data Tuesday.

The county’s overall case total is 77,111, including 56,455 confirmed and 20,656 probable. The death toll is 621.

According to the state, 455,268 people in Denton County have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, while 406,984 — 54.2% of the county’s population 12 and older — are fully vaccinated.

Other counties

The Texas Department of State Health Services has taken over reporting for these other North Texas counties. In some counties, new data may not be reported every day.

The latest numbers are:

  • Rockwall County: 11,870 cases (9,475 confirmed and 2,395 probable), 158 deaths.
  • Kaufman County: 16,554 cases (13,666 confirmed and 2,888 probable), 266 deaths.
  • Ellis County: 23,151 cases (19,028 confirmed and 4,123 probable), 324 deaths.
  • Johnson County: 20,204 cases (17,054 confirmed and 3,150 probable), 379 deaths.
