Man killed in shooting after domestic disturbance in Arlington, police say

A man died after a shooting in Arlington on Monday evening, police said.

Officers were called just after 6:30 p.m. to the scene of a shooting in the 5800 block of Willow Branch Drive, near West Sublett Road. Minutes later, a major crash was reported a block away in the 5800 block of Twin Willows Drive.

Police said a man at the scene of the crash scene had apparent gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital, where he died. That man’s identity has not been released.

Authorities believe a domestic disturbance at a home on Willow Branch led to the shooting. The suspect, whose name was not released, remained at the scene and was cooperating, police said.
