Shooting in Irving kills 1 man, injures another

One man was killed and another left hospitalized in a shooting Saturday morning in Irving, police said.

Police were notified around 8:40 a.m. about a shooting in the 7500 block of North MacArthur Boulevard, near Las Colinas Boulevard and State Highway 161.

Police said the two men were shot during a fight and taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Grapevine.

The dead man’s name will be released one his next of kin has been notified, police said. The other man has not been identified.

No other information was available as the investigation is in its early stages, police said.
