Another nice day, but change is on the way

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The beautiful weather sticks around through Sunday, but it won’t last in to next week.

Like we saw today abundant sunshine will warm temperatures into the mid 80s Sunday afternoon. Some high clouds are expected to move in but we should still see a lot of sun. Humidity will subtly increase through the day, and low temperatures as we start the work week will be significantly higher than what we’ve seen for the past few days.

How does Sunday look?
On Sunday deeper moisture pushes this way from the Gulf. You’ll notice clouds returning and higher humidity as temperatures warm from 62 to 87.

When will the rain chances return?
By Monday there could be scattered downpours as the deeper moisture arrives. An upper level low spinning west of Texas next week will boost the rain chance even more for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Is there anything of concern in the tropics?
At this time, no. Sam is a major hurricane, but it is expected to stay out in the Atlantic far away from the Gulf. You can get a full overview of the tropics on our tropical update page.
