1 dead, 1 critical after fiery crash along W. Gulf Bank, sheriff says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — One person is dead and another is still listed in critical condition after a fiery crash along the W. Gulf Bank in north Harris County.

The incident happened Tuesday in the 300 block of the W. Gulf Bank. It began as a fight between two parties in separate vehicles, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

The disturbance may have stemmed from one of the vehicles being stolen, Gonzalez said.

During the altercation, one of the vehicles crashed with a third car, with two people inside. The people in the third vehicle were taken to the hospital, where one was pronounced dead and the second one remains critical.

The vehicle that hit the innocent party burst into flames. It’s unclear if anyone else was injured.
