Another beautiful day while we await our late-week cold front

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — It was a beautiful weekend and Monday will be the same!

Overnight, we could see another round of patchy, dense fog form, but it should burn off by mid morning Monday. Also overnight, temperatures are expected to drop down into the upper 40s and low 50s so you’ll want to grab a jacket for the morning hours. You won’t need it for the afternoon though as temps warm into the mid 70s under sunny skies

What can we expect for the beginning of the work week?
We start off gorgeous Monday with sunny skies, but clouds will start moving back in by Tuesday. Temperatures will also be increasing before our next cold front moves in Thursday.

When will our next cold front arrive?
We are penciling in our next front for Thursday night into Friday morning. This front should bring at least a slight chance for rain. Sunshine, chilly mornings, and cool afternoons are expected to follow into the weekend.

Is there anything of concern in the tropics?

Texas is normally done with hurricane season by mid-October. Chief Meteorologist Travis Herzog explains whyhere. We will continue to monitor the Pacific Ocean for any storms that could curve across Mexico and bring rain to Texas.
