Nice fall weather will continue into the weekend.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Clouds are moving out as cool, dry air blows in behind Thursday’s cold front. That should make for ideal conditions to view the longest partial lunar eclipse in over 500 years!

Temperatures Friday morning will drop down in the upper 40s. After a cold start, sunshine will warm temperatures back into the upper 60s.

Two more cold fronts are penciled in for Thanksgiving week, including a potentially messy front on Thanksgiving Day.

What can we expect for the weekend?
Saturday will start off cold in the 40s, then sunshine will warm temperatures into the mid 70s. It will turn mild and humid again Sunday with a low near 60 and a high near 80. There’s also a 30% chance of rain late Sunday.

When can we expect the other two fronts?
The second front will arrive Sunday evening, and the third front is penciled in for Thanksgiving Day.

So will it be cold for Thanksgiving Day?

Possibly, but it’s too soon to pin down the timing of the cold front expected for Thanksgiving Day. Ahead of the front it will be very mild and humid, but once the front blows in, it could get downright chilly in a hurry. It is also looking more likely that the weather system pushing this front could bring widespread showers and thunderstorms on and around Thanksgiving Day. Some parts of Texas could even get snow! We will surely keep you updated as the holiday draws near.
