Woman dies after being struck multiple times on North Freeway in north Harris County, sheriff says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A woman is dead after she was hit multiple times on the North Freeway in north Harris County, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.

The incident happened at about 8:41 p.m. Wednesday in the 21000 block of the North Freeway at Louetta.

According to deputies, a woman in a silver Dodge Challenger was driving in a southbound lane of the freeway, when the pedestrian ran across the freeway toward the car.

The pedestrian hit the driver’s right side mirror, and she fell to the ground, where she was hit by multiple other vehicles.

The woman was found dead at the scene.

The sheriff’s office said that the woman driving the Challenger stayed at the scene and did not show any signs of intoxication.

The agency’s Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating.
