Silver Alert discontinued for 78-year-old man last seen in Farmers Branch

A Silver Alert was issued Saturday afternoon for a 78-year-old man last seen in Farmers Branch two days ago.

Authorities say Pat Wester has been diagnosed with a cognitive impairment and that his disappearance is a credible threat to his safety.

Wester was last seen about 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the 12000 block of Wilmington Drive, near Valley View and Josey lanes.

He’s described as a white man who is 5-10 and weighs about 140 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a ball cap and white T-shirt with a photo of his dog.
