HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Another warm and humid day coming up for Sunday. Breezy winds will continue to drag in that warm and moist air which could also lead to a few showers mainly south of I-10. High temps should top out in the mid 80s.
When is our next chance for rain?
After the weekend, we’re eyeing a cool front and a Pacific storm named Roslyn that will combine forces to bring a chance for widespread showers and thunderstorms. Roslyn’s moisture is expected to blow overhead on Monday to bring widespread clouds and a small chance for rain. We have increased confidence that the front will arrive Monday night to lift that moisture and turn it into needed rain. A line of showers and thunderstorms is expected along the front, and up to 1″ of rain could fall.
What’s happening in the tropics?
We’re not too concerned about a wave in the central Atlantic with a 20% chance for development, but we’re monitoring Tropical Storm Roslyn in the Pacific to bring us a chance for rain early this work week. For the very latest check out our daily tropical update.
