Man shot, killed during argument at gathering inside possible rental home in SE Houston, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A man was shot and killed during an argument at a gathering inside a southeast Houston short-term rental home, according to police.

Police said the shooting happened at about 3:35 a.m. on Sunday in the 7900 block of Bowen Street near Glenrose Street.

First responders reportedly met with someone who said they heard gunshots inside the home.

When Houston Police Department officers went inside the home, the door was open, and they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said there was a gathering at the property when an argument escalated, and gunshots were fired.

People who were at the gathering fled the scene when officers arrived, according to HPD.

Authorities have not described a suspect.
