The snow is gone, but the bitter cold remains

The snow has moved on, but the bitter cold remains. A wind chill advisory and a hard freeze warning remain in effect through noon Tuesday for temperatures dropping into the single digits and wind chills to -10.

Tuesday will feature a good deal of sunshine but temperatures will remain below freezing.

The cold will moderate by Wednesday when high temperatures return to the 40s. Thursday will be milder with highs in the 50s. Another cold front arrives by Friday, but the air will not be as cold as what we are experiencing now. This front will bring a chilly weekend with highs in the 30s and 40s.
