Traffic Alert: A fatal crash is causing delays on the eastbound lanes of I-20 near Duncanville

A fatal crash involving at least four vehicles is causing delays for drivers on eastbound Interstate 20 near Duncanville Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred near Cedar Ridge Drive, just east of Spur 408. Aerial footage from Texas Sky Ranger showed a FedEx truck pulling a double-trailer, a flatbed car hauler, a sedan, and a pickup truck involved in the incident. Both the sedan and the flatbed car hauler were overturned.

While the sheriff’s department confirmed a fatality, they have not specified which vehicle the victim was in, nor have they confirmed any additional injuries.

The majority of the vehicles involved came to rest in a median between the eastbound lanes of the highway and the on-ramp east of Cedar Ridge Drive. Traffic is moving slowly in the area, with only two of the four lanes open for passage, and drivers are advised to exercise caution.

The resulting traffic backup extends west into Grand Prairie, as reported by the sheriff’s department.
