1 killed in crash involving train in southwest Houston, police say

In southwest Houston, a collision between a vehicle and a Union Pacific train has resulted in one fatality, as reported by HPD on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The incident occurred in the 13000 block of Almeda Road. Initially, Houston police indicated that there were no injuries from the crash. However, in a subsequent update, authorities confirmed at least one fatality.

A significant law enforcement presence was observed at the scene by SkyEye, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the collision are currently underway.

Union Pacific for comment on the incident but has not received a response yet.
