Infidelity accusation leads to wife shot and husband arrested in Tomball, authorities say

The investigation into a shooting incident at a Tomball residence on Feathers Landing Drive suggests that accusations of infidelity may have triggered the events leading to a wife being shot and her husband subsequently arrested, according to authorities.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office initiated the investigation on Tuesday afternoon in the 17700 block of Feathers Landing Drive, near North Eldridge Parkway.

Sgt. Rosas of Precinct 4’s Special Victims Unit stated that the husband reported the shooting to dispatchers, characterizing the incident as a family disturbance. Allegations of infidelity arose between the couple before gunshots were fired. The woman was promptly taken to the hospital and stabilized. Subsequently, Precinct 4 deputies detained the husband for questioning, later placing him under arrest.

Initially, it was reported that a second individual was detained; however, Rosas clarified that this person was a family member and a witness. The couple were the sole individuals present at the residence.

Rosas indicated that based on preliminary information, the shooting did not appear to be accidental.

A heavy police presence was observed at the scene, with updates provided by Constable Mark Herman via social media.
