Authorities confirmed the death of Andrew Zhou Li, a 20-year-old University of Texas at Dallas student who went missing in late February.

The Richardson Police Department announced Li’s death on Saturday, with the cause still under investigation. UT Dallas Police clarified that Li was not found on campus, reassuring the community that his death is not considered a threat.

Li was last seen on Saturday, Feb. 24, at his on-campus apartment around 6 p.m. During his disappearance, officials described Li as wearing round brown wire-framed glasses, possibly with a ball cap.

In a statement on Facebook, UT Dallas Police expressed condolences to Li’s loved ones, acknowledging the sorrowful outcome and extending sympathies to all who knew him.

The university plans to hold its annual Comets Remember Ceremony on March 19 to honor all UT Dallas students who passed away during the academic year.
