DQ offers ‘free cone day’ to celebrate the first day of spring

As the days grow warmer, Dairy Queen is reintroducing Free Cone Day to coincide with the official start of spring.

On March 19th, patrons can enjoy a complimentary small DQ soft serve vanilla cone with the iconic curl at participating locations across Texas and nationwide (limit one per customer, subject to availability).

“Texans recognize the arrival of spring when they feel the sun’s warmth, spot bluebonnets blooming, and Free Cone Day commences at DQ restaurants in Texas,” remarked Lou Romanus, CEO of Texas Dairy Queen Operators’ Council.

Dairy Queen is dubbing it “treat season” and encourages customers to share photos with the hashtag #freeconeday while tagging @DairyQueenTX.

Additionally, DQ is offering a St. Patrick’s Day-inspired indulgence—the Mint Brownie Blizzard Treat, featuring soft serve ice cream blended with brownie pieces, chocolate chunks, and refreshing mint flavor.
