Fort Worth Fire mourns off-duty lieutenant killed in tragic motorcycle crash

The Fort Worth Fire Department is grieving the loss of one of its lieutenants, who tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident while off-duty on Saturday.

Lieutenant Garey Pugh, aged 56, was involved in a motorcycle crash in Sunnyvale under circumstances yet to be determined, as per fire officials.

In a statement on Facebook Saturday, the agency expressed deep sorrow: “The Fort Worth Fire Department is deeply saddened to announce the unexpected loss of one of our own. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this incredibly difficult time. We will share service details at a later time when they’re available.”

The fire department noted that Pugh dedicated 34 years of service to the city of Fort Worth.
